PROPER WASTE DISPOSAL ON UNILAG CAMPUS

 The attention of the University Management has been drawn to the indiscriminate disposal of refuse on Campus by some units/departments, particularly burning of refuse on the dump site. It is disheartening that in spite of awareness on global warning occasioned by human activities such as burning of refuse, some units/departments still engage in burning of waste.

The University has made great efforts in re-positioning our waste management strategy on Campus by commissioning waste managers to ensure proper disposal of waste on Campus.

Consequently, Heads of Unit/Department are enjoined to support the efforts of Management by ensuring all wastes in their units/departments are appropriately shredded and placed in the waste bins provided at strategic locations on Campus. The University Management will not hesitate to sanction any defaulter.
