FACULTY OF SCIENCE HOLDS SEMINAR SERIES, DECEMBER 10

The Monthly Seminar Series of the Faculty of Science will hold on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 12 noon in the Faculty of Science L026, University of Lagos, Akoka.


The Seminar will feature Dr. Kelechi Longinus Njoku of the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics who will present a paper on: “Solving Environmental Problems Biologically”. It is open to all academic staff, postgraduate students, final year students and other members of the community who are interested in the advancement of scientific knowledge.

Dr. Njoku a Senior Lecturer with over 12 years of teaching and research experience obtained B.Sc. (Hons.) from University of Calabar (1997), M.Sc. (2002), Ph.D. (2008) in Cell Biology and Genetics from University of Lagos.

His area of specialization is in “Biological Monitoring and Biological Remediation” and has supervised over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate students and currently has s ix Ph.D. students.  He has also presented his research findings at various fora including workshops, conferences and seminars over the years.

Dr. Kelechi Longinus Njoku has over 26 academic publications in reputable National and International Journals.  He is a reviewer and member of the editorial board of a few journals and currently a member of the University of Lagos SIWES technical committee as well as member of some learned societies.

Dr Njoku’s marriage is blessed with children.
